PHP Search (Easy to use with install script)

This program is a php search data builder. It works in combination with a php search engine to bring something that most open source packages can't do. Site-wide keyword search with relevancy ranking algorithm similar to google's. How to Use How to use this program is simple, type in your site address into the URL to Fetch box to start crawling and hit "Go" the program will take care of the rest. Some features of the program are the following Run Continous This checkbox when enabled turns this page into a crawler that can be left alone and will crawl all pages and links with in it's vision (which if left unmanaged can be the entire Internet). No External Links This checkbox when enabled does it best to find only links that are the same domain of your input. This helps keep the script contained and it won't roam the open 'net. Remove Link Stack The Link Stack is the equivalent of the Link Process List which is that box on the left of the script. This button clears the stack.

PHP Search Engine (easy to use)

	This program uses php and mysql to build a very fast and easily extendable php search engine. On the site there is a full demo for you to view before making your decision. It's completely free and in my opinion great for a startup search engine, or perhaps a small library search or something that keyword searches are great for.

Search Keywords

This class can be used to retrieve the search words entered by an user in a search engine site that lead the user to the current page. The class can parse the HTTP_REFERER CGI variable if present. Then it can detect which search engine site lead the user to the current page, and extract the search words. The main reason why Google become the most popular search engine is the fact that it was able to provide the most relevant results to the user searches. Google search results are sorted using an algorithm named page rank. It takes in account the number of ingoing and outgoing links to each page. This class provides a pure PHP implementation of the Google page rank algorithm. It follows the paper written originally by Larry Page, Sergei Brin and others.

	A great PHP search engine that allows both you and your users to add there website to the search engine with there keywords / titles and so on. You can fit the design into any website by changing the HTML etc.

Easy Row Search

	This script is very easy to configure, by entering some basic mysql details and information about the table you wish to search, you can scan one row in your table for text. The results are then shown and the search text highlighted red.

PHP Flat File Search Script

This is the original free php flat file search engine script written by Holger Eichert that is no longer available for download off his site. I take no credit for developing this script but I want to make it available to web developers as it has been an immense help to me. I am providing all files as I had originally downloaded them which includes leaving Holger Eichert's copyright and licensing agreement intact within the script. Performs a real time, full text site search across static web files (rather than a database) and returns a link and an extract of each file that contains content that matches the search query. Features include: Customizable template; English or Deutsche configuration; Specify which directories to search and/or skip; Specify which file extensions to search and/or skip; Control the number of search results displayed on the page.

Referring keyword display script

A little php script that will capture the keywords used by people who visit any pages on your website from Google (and any other search engine that uses 'q=' as the keyword argument), and display them as an ordered list on your website. Only keywords used to access a particular page are returned, which means that you will only ever get relevant keywords listed on each page. The most popular keywords appear at the top of the list (although you could easily alter this if you wanted to list them the other way around), and each keyword links to it's corresponding Google query. (These links have the 'nofollow' attribute set to avoid Page Rank leakage, and also open in a new window.) Now updated to allow you to choose to display the keywords to everyone, or to show them only when people arrive from Google/other search engines.
