Excellent simple CMS for blogging, Nov 21, 2004 Reviewed By: atticus
Review Of: Serendipity in PHP :: Blog
Praise Serendipity is a great script. The image management is good, and I love the plugin functionality (very easy to use) with enables you to add side blocks of custom code (html or php) with ease. I was able to quickly create a blog with the functionality I wanted without a lot of code tweaking because of available plugins. Complaints The search functionality seems to suck. I plan on bugging developers about this since search if vital to a large blog. WYSIWYG editor is adding spaces when toggling between code and wysiwyg view--I think this a common HTMLarea bug, though, so can't blame Serendipity--just beware, or use non-wysiwyg editor. Conclusion Otherwise Serendipity is a simple to use script, smartly designed that operates more like a CMS than just a blog script. In anticipation of improved searching, I give it a 5. Without good search functionality, I give it a 4.

Simply the BEST, Jan 18, 2007 Reviewed By: darlanne

I rarely ever feel compelled to leave reviews. This is the exception. As a web developer, I've tried a many different blogging scripts out there for various different projects over the years ... but I have to say Serendipity is THE BEST. The functionality is superb and it's extremely simple to customize. The support is great, and I will be using this script for all my blogging developments. It's simply such a great script I'd BUY it if it weren't already free!

No Greek :(, Jan 29, 2007 Reviewed By: pgge31

The script has been translated into 65 languages but it hasn't been translated into Greek yet. However it seems to be one good script for the begginers so I rate it as 4 because of this lack.
