Schlabo's POTD gives you the power of professional Picture of the Day-Scripts for free. It has a very intuitive interface and is as easy to use as possible. Features include: Assign pictures for many years in advance, give each pic a description and if someone sent you the POTD, you can give him credit. The Admin-Script displays all the POTDs in form of a calendar which makes it easy to administrate and edit them, you can also add a picture at the next free day with just one click. Even visitors can view a POTD-gallery if you want them to. The script features a well thought-through database-system with an extra file for each month, IP-Logging and Password-Protection.

photoaddict is a perl script to give a nice frontend to displaying images -- especially those from a digital camera. photoaddict requires ImageMagick, Image::Size module.

Webgallery is a Perl script that lets you create a webpage showing off a gallery of your images. The current version of Webgallery requires the URI::URL module, as well as PerlMagick. It outputs JPEG formatted thumbnail images in an XHTML 1.0 index page.

IDS is a CGI written in Perl that generates a photo album website on the fly. All you need to provide are the images and (optionally) text descriptions. As you add new pictures, they will appear automatically. Each image will be displayed with information such as image type, file size, image size, and date uploaded. If EXIF information is embedded in the image (shutter speed, aperature, focal length, etc.), it will be displayed. It will create thumbnail preview images for JPEG, PNG, and GIF images. It will also recognize and display QuickTime movies, MPEG movies, and MP3 files. IDS uses HTML templates, so you can easily customize the look of your site.

This is a simple Perl script that returns an img src tag containing the width and height of a gif image. This subroutine can be used to automatically include gif sizes in the posted newspapers, rotating advertisements from the ad server, etc.

This is a perl script that will autogenerate thumbnails given a directory of images. it can generate multiple sizes based on reduction factors that you pass to it and does not require that that all the images be of the same size.

HTMLThumbnail creates index pages of the graphic file content of directories on Unix based web servers. It generates real thumbnail images (not just mis-sizing the images) that are typically around 1-2% of the byte count of the originals (thus letting you see them 50 - 100 times as fast). It works with both JPEG and GIF images, supports 'incremental change' updating to allow easy adding of new images (or modifying of old ones) without wasting a lot of time regenerating the index for every image. It also supports optional linking to the original images, drop shadows, rotation of the final icon, and image borders. Essentially all setting are command line adjustable.

Picture Frame is a script for displaying a series of thumbnail images in tables and then linking those images to full size versions of the images. It can display captions associated with the thumbnail images to clarify what the image is or the size of the larger image. The larger images will be displayed on an html page made by the script that has a standard header and footer for every image, so it appears as if each image has it's own html page when in reality it's all contained within the script.
