SWF Extractor does not have a setup application, just unzip the contents to a folder using any unzip utility like WinZip. SWF Extractor does not do anything to the registry or create any unwanted files. After running swfex.exe, you can open a SWF by using the "Open and Extract all" button. The files would be immediately extracted to the same folder as the swf file itself. A grid below the button can be used to view the images and mp3 files extracted. Program will launch your default audio player to play mp3 files. Future releases of SWF Extractor are expected to have more features like a swf decomiler - movie clip & vector image extraction, action script editing and extraction, and ability to save swf files diretly from a website. Please use this software for your swf files with content created by you only.

The author writes "This is just a tool I'd made when I lost the fla for my movies when my hard disk crashed. All I did was to get my swf files from my sites and then I made this tool to remove the password protection from those swf files, so atleast I was able to get back some of my vector art and jpeg images by importing it in flash. Also, you can adjust the frame rate." Please note that this is not a swf decompiler :)
