Log4JMonitor is a Java application that consists mainly of a frame listing all the Log4J messages/events received by another application which produces such events (using Apache's Log4J engine) and sends them to Log4JMonitor through the network. Log4JMonitor acts as a server socket for the Lo4J messages which need to be sent to such a server by implementation. Log4JMonitor is based on Apache's demonstration of a SocketServer/SocketAppender pair, programmed by Oliver Burn.

The IBM P3P Policy Editor is a visual tool, with an easy-to-use interface, for creating a Web site's privacy policy in the P3P language, which can be interpreted by Web browsers and other user agents that support the Platform for Privacy Preferences Project (P3P) specification from the W3C. P3P allows users to automate the acceptance or rejection of a Web site's requests for information, based on user preferences set in browsers or client devices. Users are assured that their privacy is protected without having to read each Web site's privacy policy.

DictionarEase is an easy to use computer Dictionary. To look up a word, just start DictionarEase, type in as much of the word as you know, and hit enter. All matching words will be displayed. Just click the word you want to see the definition of, and it will be displayed for you. <td>

This is a Java 2 application that displays the United States Flag. Resizing the flag by dragging the corners keeps the flag proportions in-tact. <td>

City Simulator is a scalable, three-dimensional model city that enables creation of dynamic spatial data simulating the motion of up to 1 million people. City Simulator is written in Java and is designed to generate realistic data for evaluation of database algorithms for indexing and storing dynamic location data. City Simulator is offered on alphaWorks so that developing systems for indexing spatial data can be tested for scalability and performance against a standardized data set.

Cherry Picker is a Java application that "pulls" Gifs and/or Jpegs from a Web site (or linked sites). The production version allows images to be scaled and different scaling algorithms to be selected. Also allows pages with certain extensions to be ignorned i.e. exe, zip, etc. The included Run.bat must be used to run Cherry Picker.
