Selecting a location or address in a web form is something we've all done hundreds of times. Checkbox List Widget is a Dreamweaver extension that improves usability of standard multiple-select input controls replacing them with a more intuitive to use, scrollable checklist. When the widget is applied to multiple-select box, the result is a scrollable checklist, where users can search and select multiple items without all the hassle of worrying about deselecting previously-selected options.

Field Validator is a form validator for Dreamweaver that allows to assign multiple validation rules to a form field and notify the user whenever the information entered does not meet the validation rules. When a field fails to meet some of the assigned validation rules, it's highlighted in a different color, an icon appears to the right side and a bubble is displayed with explanatory text. This validator can be used from the Dreamweaver Visual interface.

The JS Auto Form Validator is an easy-to-setup form validation script which enables you to handle the whole form validation process without writing any JavaScript code. TrueFormValidator is a set of javascript functions which frees web developers from having to write form validation code again and again . Most web developers know how time consuming and tedious it is to write client validation code for forms. Due to lack of proper debugging tools and IDE applications for Javascript, writing and fixing validation scripts can be a headache. TrueFormValidator was created with just that purpose in mind. A JS 'class' for cloning complex HTML blocks - automatically adds numbers and nesting suffixes to new clones, properly increments values of ID and NAME attributes in new clones, adds deletion links if needed, allows nesting clones within clones, adds event listeners to cloning links and clone deletion links, allows skipping some nodes from pattern blocks and setting maximum clones number for a given target - a lot of parameters you can modify, optional use of user functions for a better control over a cloning process. This Javascript based spell checker is capable of finding errors in your input fields with the ease of a few clicks. It supports embedded HTML tags ( as on WYSIWYG text editors) and can be configured to work on multiple languages. It also provides a grammar check option that allows you to find punctuation and capitalization errors in the same text. The spell checker does not require PHP, ASP or any server side language to run. The only requirement is to include an empty iframe that is loaded with the contents of a simple html page containing the words. The script can be configured to only attempt to load the words into the iframe once the user clicks on start the spell check (to allow for uninterrupted loading of the webpage). Or it can allow you to preload the dictionary of words as soon as the webpage is loading.

This script creates a function that helps you validate input data that requires numeric or money values. The script's main function isNumber takes four arguments. The first argument allows you to validate decimal values. The second argument option allows you to validate positive and negative values. The third option allows you to validate money values.

OSM Colortool is a compact, simple but powerful color selection tool utilizing Dojo Toolkit integration. Use it as an alternative to Dojo's own excellent color selection tool. Incorporates Dojo style language files for ease of internationalization. Many 'Google translated' language files included. The user can pick and save color selections via the main graphical tool or by a simple grid of 'web safe' colors. Colors can be manipulated by RGB or HSV numeric inputs. Give it a try!

OSM Virtual Keyboard is a compact, simple but powerful form input tool utilizing Dojo Toolkit integration. Use it to input Unicode utf-8 text into any form field in one of many currently provided language layouts (similar to Google's virtual keyboard). Incorporates Dojo style language files for ease of internationalization. Select the Unicode utf-8 character layout to use and type away. Layouts load as needed so as not to slow initial page loading. Keyboard size is user selectable. Any size keyboard can be configured through CSS only. Give it a try!

Want to limit the amount of text a user can enter in particular INPUT type="text" or TEXTAREA elements? Well, this script enables not only that, but displays in real time the number of characters remaining. A callback function enables you to define your own actions when the field limit has been reached, such as apply a red border around the field in question.
