This utility is amazing in its own right. Every feature needed is in there and the many plugins you can download expand it to deal with any text editing you would need. If you also get the plugins generator the two together make an almost perfect app. Over time this could become the emacs for windows.

This program is unique! You can add hundreds of plugins, and you can also easily create you owns... The author is also very supportive, and the forums are wonderful. Ive been using this editor and all I can say is that it is simply the best free editor and it beat lots of other editors that are shareware. Ive been using it for about 1 year. If you plan on using it for a php editor remember to go to edit>preferences and click on the action tab and point to your php.exe like C:\php\php.exe

HTML Kit is perfect, having installed the plugins of my choice and configured it right for _me_ I am ready to play. You get drop-down-menues, wizards, lookup-functions, helpfiles, reference manuals a.s.o. Once you start using this software you will stick to it. HTML Kit is right up there together with the imagetool IrfanView (www.irfanview.com), the development environment PhpDev (www.firepages.com.au). Without these couple of programs a computer can not be used by me...
