We've been using PHPLive! Support for our design agency for over 3 years now and from time to time there are small bugs but the developers are able to release an update (within a day or so) which fixes this, most of the competitors out there aren't that fast!
We also tried other solutions live LiveAgent and Clickdesk but found out that some chats dont get through correctly giving our agency a bad reputation and bad name, never had this issue with PHPLive Support!
The bad:
We all use apple mac computers and found it 'not ideal' that there was only a windows client available but we worked together with a mac developer and were able to develop a mac client for mac.

I used the old version for a couple of months but then upgraded to php 5.3 which wasn't supported.
So I compared every solution out there but none of them was as good as my experience with the old phplivesupport, which I thought was just as good as the new version.. Gosh was I wrong.
The new version is slow, if if operators are online not even every body can talk to them because the popup will display a contact form instead of the chat field.
The operator console logs out automatically every couple of minutes so it has to be in the foreground otherwise you have to check it every time.
I always are on a good foot with publishers because if I find a bug I create screens and give them access in my edition to repair it etc.
So I emailed the errors to the costumer support, no responds. I had a chat still no responds (they promise they'd email), Eventually, because I was still in my 30 days, I requested a refund.
All hell broke loose... they said they had to test my installation and ever since I have more problems, I often do not get access to my account for updates and they do not reply to any of my emails.
This product is terrible and I do not recommend it, the people do not have any respect for their buyers and money and well... I hope people will find out and stop buying their product.

Was a user of v3 which was great but the update to the new 4 is even better.
It takes a few hours to understand the way this script works (3 levels: setup, admin and operator etc) but after that it's easy.
I talked to support a lot because they do not (yet) have a mac app (windows they have) but they are working on that one. Now I am just using fluid which also works for now.

On July 14Th 2010, I paid the software as a web service. Since this date, I couldn't make it work out fine...
The configuration was pretty easy (server side and customization) albeit some unfinished pages inside their "setup panel" and mistakes (like, for instance, the url the operators should have had to connect to --> wrong).
I'm the ceo of a well known streaming company and also a Linux administrator; I tried with other Linux admin to fix the bugs we were experiencing for days (we had absolutely no answer to my mail requestS)...
The only thing which seems to work good up there, is an operator named Amanda...who doesn't seem to get a single tech thing; apparently, she's just here to send short and canned sentences.
This is the kindda software/company I would definitively not recommend.
PHP Live Support

I have purchased full license, but I have not seen so idiot system in my life.
1st, It's was really taking all resources of my server.
Always, after some time, It's giving problem, so I need to restore it.
I am trying to use it from more than 1 year, from 3-4 months, it was not working, I though, maybe I need to update, I paid more, but still, it's not working at all.
Those people are not responding my email from last 1 month.
I must say to every person, don't waste your money with OSICODES.

We've tried almost every existing support software programs out there. Most are ok, but PHPLive has both all the features and stability. It was very easy to install and their support team is excellent! I would like to comment about also the previous post about server resources PHPLive uses: it does not up any resources at all! Our website gest over 5,000 visitors a day and PHPLive does not slow it down one bit. Excellent proggy and I would recommend it to anyone!
Not good program

This program has a nice layout and design but it hogged up all my systems resources. Even when no one was logged into the support chat the script used up lots of resources. I have pasted a log for one month below:

Since I have an Internet Services company I need an good live support system.
I started out with php live support. After running the trial I was pretty much sold. After this I decided to give live person a try, it was tempting, but it changed when I saw the price attached to it.
I decided to buy live person premium license, all features for one year.
I recommend this programn to ANYONE including starting company's.

About a year ago we decided to make the switch from Human Click (which later turned to LivePerson) and we have never looked back. Php Live! can compete with LivePerson head on for a fraction of the price. There have been routine updates and upgrades. It is easy to install and even easier to use. Overall a great product.
