Bad Business

I have noticed over the years that Candypress seems to get bad reviews removed from this and other websites despite the facts that prevail. The code only works in some locations and their customer service is very poor and limited. I have had bad experiences with them and wish I had not spent 59 bucks on software that I cannot get to work and cannot modify.

CandyPress was taken over in May of 2010. We can assure you that our product is being utilized throughout the world. Our customer service has been revamped, and our product has been refined.

This is a pretty complete application that is easy-to-use. My only negative comment is the lack of UK locale support and lack off valid xhtml code. If these issues was addressed then it would get 5 stars.

We have refined the product to support the UK locale, and have many carts running in the UK. Our latest version supports XHTML as well.

Hi,
with regard my previous review. Candypress have now resolved the issue and it now operates correctly in UK Locale mode.
The script does everything that is needed, and offers excellent functionality for $.
The support, when I got it, was excellent and professional.

After trying quiet a number of Cart Software Packages (lot more expensive than CP too), it does not get much better than CP. The support of CP and the community is second to none. Easy to use, custumisable and affordable. 5 stars for the product and the service. Thanks CP, keep up the great work. JohnB
Doesnt work in UK locale 2057 mode

The backend software doesnt work in UK 2057 locale mode. It doesnt seem to be able to handle dates correctly and produced a database error! I did email support via the support forum over 7 days ago but have had no response. Dont waste your money if you want a UK solution.
Best Shopping Cart I've Found

This is by far the BEST shopping cart I have owned (and I have owned three)! Even though the others cost between $250-$800 they didn't come close to the robust features and ease of use that Candypress has. And, the after the purchase sale is superb. My only advice is don't let the ridiculously low price scare you away - it's worth 10X what they charge! Check out their site for a demo when you compare it to the others you'll see what I mean.
Sophiscated yet reasonable price

This is a very sophiscated shopping cart that supports international shoppers. You can use the admin interface to set up shipping rates and tax rate. It's user interface design is also very user-friendly. I would strongly recommend it.
