Nice bit of kit, its one file to READ from a TXT file with "|" seperators, there are other files you can download called "write" etc.. i use it to just READ the file, i manually create the TXT file. It has a TEMPLATE file you can create with links in it will replace, i used javascript as its client side as it loads so the javascript will populate as it loads, its create i end up with a variable filled with data from a text file in the server.... IT WORKS and SMALL and free.

I am an absolute novice to Perl/CGI but needed to read from a database exported from Microsoft Access that is used for defining Classes that a Music competitor enters. CSV read does the job and was straightforward to implement and worked first time! Excellent great script.

I have no experience with CGI and when I was asked to create a database for a charity web site I needed to find some custom scripts. I searched the web and I tried numerous scripts and then I came across the CSV range. I must say that I am highly delighted with these scripts. They are user friendly and very easy to configure, especially for the user that has little or no programming experience. I would recommend these scripts to new users.
