Still Very Slow

Well, I tried out version 4.1 and it's still extremely slow and full of bugs.
I noticed that Comdev is using GetResponse service to do their own mailing. Looks like they would not even use the script themselves. What a shame!

Newsletter is also available in ionCube version for better performance if your server is ionCube compliance. GetResponse is an auto-responder system that does not support mass emailing but Newsletter is used.
Decent product, but slow in emailing out

Comdev Newsletter 3.1 is easy to install and use, and provides good capabilities to maintain a subscriber email list. Its main weakness is emailing out, which can be batched to avoid server timeouts, and is brutally slow. I could not get the bounced email function to work properly, and tech support has basically given up trying to solve what I think is a bug in the program.

ComDevWeb...not very serious....

My website has been hacked because of security holes in their software. ComDevWeb didn't provide any support: They were very nice to sell their products but when a problem occurs, no response or understanding...I wish you stay away from them!

Extremely Restrictive and Unfair License Policy - Be sure to read.

I had purchased this script for a client. The client moved to a new web host and web site one month after. You could imagine my surprise when I contacted ComDev and tried to uninstall and deactivate this script and move to another server and URL. They said they do not allow changing the license to another URL! And if you or your client happens to change domain names? Then you are sure out of luck, unless you are willing to purchase a new copy. I would steer clear of this company and not be enticed by the product, which can quickly become useless to you.
Also, I asked them what it would cost for me to upgrade.. They said I would have to pay $39 and $35 for a service fee for a total of $74 ( I kid you not). This is more than it cost to buy a new copy!
This company is out of their mind. Beware!

Truly a good system

There are sooo many systems like this. I test many of them to make sure my clients get a good solution. Newsletter is the first product I ever tried of Comdevs, but as a web designer I implement many other Comdev products into my web projects. They are simple for small business owners to learn and use themselves. This keeps me from having to talk with clients and training alot Id rather be designing.
