I use rsync to backup my files but sometimes the file owners and permissions get messed up. That's because when my machine is rebuilt the numeric user-id's are rarely the same on the restore target as when I created the backup. allrights.pl re-creates these for me. Sweet. no hasstle. and simple. This script ensures that the owner for the file is correct by name not just the unix user ID. THAKS FOR THIS SCRIPT!.
