MyMail Reviews and Testimonials

I looked at several different mail managers until I came up on MyMail. Change 4 lines in the config file, run install and I was up and running. Took a total of 3 minutes before I was importing a list and sending mail. When it supports HTML mail, will be one of the best out there.

I've tried so many scripts including paying scripts, and off hosted scripts and this has got to be one of the best mail list scripts ever. It's Fast, Durable and can send thousands of emails. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't send HTML mail but the author promises to implement it soon and knowing him that'll be in a few weeks. I definately recommend this script over the rest and you'll be pleased once you get it! Cool User

This is a pretty decent mailing list script. Not lots of bells and whistles which in my book is a good thing. A couple of points that keep this thing from being an excellent script. 1) It does not have the capability to send HTML mail. 2) The installation *should have been* very easy. The problem is that for some odd reason there are TWO configuration files of the same name in different directories. The docs mention just one. So I was pulling out my hair trying to figure out why it wouldn't work. I was just about to delete the whole thing when I just by accident stumbled across the 2nd config file, changed the 4 simple items and it worked flawlessly.

This script has undergone some serious revisions since the earlier reviews were posted. There is now support for HTML mail, confirmation e-mails sent to subscribers, confirmations sent for unsubscribers to the list, and much much more. (Go to www.codingclick.com and look for the Beta versions 3 or later) All of these options are easily configurable using the script's very easy to use interface. Your users can choose between HTML and Text messages when they subscribe, and MyMail then allows you to choose separate e-mails to both groups when you are sending your group e-mails. Set up was also a breeze, and the best part of it all is that there is a VERY active support forum available at their site. The people there are always available to answer your questions, usually in a matter of hours. The forums also house a number of customizations that have been created by the script's many users, most of which are easily added to your MyMail installation. Finally, Peter, the script's main designer, is now working on a new and improved version, which should be available soon, and will add even more options to this already overpowered (free!) program. Truly folks, this is a great program, it's hard to find a better-supported, totally free program like this.

This software was very easy to install and get up and running, quickly. It's easy to use and has a very clean interface. It would be nice to be able to see the names of the people who have left a list or have first and last name fields but I don't think these would be too hard to add. Enjoy!
