A truly unique and advanced perl program that will automatically upload photos and generate the accompanying thumbnails to a script generated subdirectory of a website gallery directory. Tt will then generate the thumbnail gallery page with links to the big images, and will also place a link to the thumbnail page on the gallery home page. In the process, a specific delete script for each gallery is created that when run will automatically delete all photos uploaded as well as the gallery page and the link. Everything is done automatically, requires no work for the webmaster after setting up the initial script.

Setting up a simple file downloading system with VBScript and ASP is no sweat. The primary use for a system like this is to allow downloading of any TEXT based file that would normally be served via a client's browser and be unable to be downloaded. Wordindex is a full text indexing suite developed using perl as the backend and PHP as the web based search utility. Any language can be used to search as long as it has access to MySQL databases. Wordindex is capable of indexing huge amounts of data, one production system has indexed over 14GB of textual, PDF, and compressed text files. Searches on that system are still less than a second on a modest server. Wordindex is clusterable, the indexing process which can take a very long time to complete on a huge dataset (meaning ~10G+) can be run over a couple nodes to spread out the load.

Prattle is a room-based message-board system written in PHP4. It is built on an organizational model that considers conversations to be topically linear, not threaded. Messages are grouped into discussion rooms, hence the "room-based" reference. Prattle's linear discussion model encourages serious conversations to grow, with continuous give and take, rather than encouraging the short-burnout exchanges that you see in threaded systems.
