This PHP function is a very basic one, yet useful for a single page image gallery within a small website. It reads all the images from given folder and creates a simple looking gallery with given sized thumbnails.

This is a stylish, resizable and easily customisable two level gallery. It can contain unlimited albums as well as unlimited photos per album (in theory, in practice the number of photos is limited by the width of the stage) . The descriptions support scrolling as well as html formated text. The pictures will be resized to fit the display area if they are larger and also enlarged to the minimum set photo size if smaller. This is a two level Flash gallery that has support for JPG, GIF, PNG image viewing and for FLV playback. The first level is represented by the categories (tabs). The list of tabs is located at the bottom of the application. The number of tabs can be unlimited and each tab has it's corespondent in the XML file in the "category" tag. If the list of tabs is too long, a mouse sliding behavior will be enabled. The list will slide horizontally according to the mouse x position. The image used for displaying the tab has to have 95x75 px. Each category can store an unlimited number of files represented by the "file" tag in the XML. A file can be a JPG, PNG, GIF or FLV. This is a two level resizable image gallery. Photos are stored in categories and can have an html formated description. You can create an unlimited number of categories/photos entries via data.xml file. The gallery is mainly implemented to be used embeded in html. It will dynamically resize to fit the window. Photos can be any size. They will be scaled down ,with the aspect ratio preserved, at runtime, if necessary. It is recommended to resize the photos manually in order to save memory space at runtime. Nice and smooth tweens combined with a clean and ergonomic inteface makes it the perfect application for showing your photos online or on a CD presentation.
