WebSearch allows users to search for key words in documents located on your Web site. It searches the basic text of the documents, as well as ALT text and any information contained in META "keywords" and "description" tags. The script scores the match URLs based upon the frequency with which the requested key terms appear in the documents, and also lists the date on which each file was last modified. You can easily configure the number of matches which will be displayed on each results page.

SillySearch lets you allow a visitor to search through pages in a single directory on your website for pages containing words that the user enters into a form. They can choose to search only for files containing all the words they enter, or to search for files containing any one of the words. Results are returned ranked by how many of the terms were found in the page. If the page has html TITLE tags, the results will show a link with that title linking to the page. If the page does not have TITLE tags, it will just show the name of the page.

MailFile can send multiple files from the same form, there is no limit to the number of files a person can request. This script goes through the referer_log file on your server and counts how many times your page is referred to by each URL. It then produces a table to be viewed from the web with a link to each URL that refers to you, how many times the link on that page has been followed to reach your page (since the referer_log was emptied) and the percentage of people coming from that particular page.

The log-reader.cgi program is designed to operate as a Perl/CGI program. It reads the Apache access_log file in standard ECLF format, interprets the records in this file, and returns (a) the most popular URL's on your web site and (b) the top TCP/IP addresses of clients who visited your web site. With this information, you can determine which URL's on your site are popular, and who they appeal to. You can also tell if somebody has been spidering your web site by looking for uncommonly high numbers of hits from one web site address.

Linkmatic lets you run a feature-filled and efficient Web Directory database at your website. It maintains one or more databases of website links using a separate directory for each database and its supporting files. You can have up to 90 categories per database. Each database file has one record per line, with 8 fields per record. You select maximum links to show per page and maximum total matches. Script mimics "Alta-Vista" behavior, using clickable pins for user to move backward or forward through the other result pages. User can request to add a new record to a pending file. It then checks whether a valid category, URL and E-Mail format were entered. If accepted, manager receives an E-Mail notice of how many new links are pending.
